:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Regina Phalangie -- Good Read! : This was a pretty interesting read, it goes into detail the process in which JK Rowling wrote the books, got them published, gave the film rights, and ultimately ended up creating the magical phenomenon that we know Harry Potter to be today. While informative, the book could have a used an editor, as there are several grammatical mistakes throughout the text that mess with the flow (not too often, but enough to notice). Also, a few facts were incorrect (or maybe they were translated incorrectly) like when they casted Daniel Radcliffe as Harry, it says that Heyman and Kloves went to see "Stones in his Pockets," where Radcliffe would perform. He didn't perform, he just went to watch the play with his parents. Very minor details, but still, makes me wonder what other facts weren't translated properly. Over all, though, it was very interesting to read and I recommend it. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Malfaisante -- Thorough and entertaining : I recommend this book for teens and older because younger readers might to be uninterested in the minutiae of publishing, but any level of fan will find this to be informative and pleasant reading. The author has done a lot of painstaking research, all of which is hugely apparent from the text. It is not difficult book to read and is essential for the fan who would like to know more about the who, how, where and when of Harry Potter. ( Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 8, 2021 )
